Your trusted advisor and partner in communicating with linguistically diverse audiences who speak or prefer a language other than English (LOTE)

Over 5 million people speak a language other than English in Australia.
For the sake of inclusivity, it is important for the government, brands, and organisations to be able to communicate with them in their own language.
The need for communicating in other languages is especially evident in areas such as health, financial services, telecoms, education, and retail, among others.
Effective communication in another language goes way beyond a one-size-fits-all translation.

MCX Language Services is passionate about helping you reach your intended audience in the best possible way.
That is why when we undertake your translation requirements, we go beyond a translation and consider factors such as:
Intended audience
Format the language will be
viewed in
(e.g. digital, social media, media release, signage, billboard, radio transcript, letter, speech etc.)

Additional layers of rigour

Independent Checking
Language Services can provide independent checking of the completed translation by another NAATI qualified translator.
Even while translation Language Services are conducted by highly trained and experienced NAATI qualified translators, we find that many of our clients – particularly large corporates – request an extra layer of security and rigour to the language process.
Language can also be subjective so the checking step can result in a more universally agreeable final version.

Back Translation
A back translation is when we take the completed translated copy in language, and then translate it back into English. This step is recommended and essential for high value content or content with legal implications, where we need to ensure the translated copy reflects the original English with a high degree of certainty that the exact meaning is conveyed.
While we take the utmost of care to ensure quality and accuracy, the meaning of words and phrases can vary across languages sometimes, and this step allows clients to evaluate the equivalence of meaning between the English and the translated copy and take steps to reconcile the two if necessary.
The resulting back translation sometimes does not read very smoothly in English, but that is not the intention. Instead, this step helps unearth any word/ phrase issues.
